Counseling Student Intern

Andrew Burdick, BA, MA Counseling Student Intern, supervised by Gina Gabriano, LPC-S, is dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression. Andrew leads with authenticity and empathy, recognizing that the counseling process looks different for everyone. He strives to create a comfortable, welcoming space where clients feel free to express their thoughts, emotions, and personal interests.
Andrew believes there are many reasons to smile in life and is passionate about helping clients discover those moments—especially because childhood should be a time of growth, joy, and self-discovery. His counseling approach emphasizes genuine connection and meaningful conversation, working collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more constructive ways of thinking.
Andrew also brings several years of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where he utilized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while working with children diagnosed with Autism.
Because Andrew is a counseling student intern, he is unable to accept insurance at this time. Sessions will be billed at a significantly discounted self-pay rate of $35 per session. Prospective clients should also be aware that counseling sessions may be audio/video recorded for review by Andrew’s onsite and university supervisors.
Outside of the counseling room, Andrew enjoys spending time with his dog, playing video games, and watching TV and anime.
